not starting yet but already rethinking the options.

I registered my daughetr under jonior membership starting the 13th of May but in order to start I was advised that I needed to book an induction which is fair enough but the problem is there is no instructor to book with for the induction .
a friend of mine goes to the same gym and he told me that he waited 2 months to get the induction so how are we paying for the service if we are unable to use it?

It would be nice to see a happy face on reception when i book in for a session. The girls on the reception really look like they dont want to be there.

"Horrendous customer service"
Horrendous customer service. I signed up for a gym membership and 2 weeks later had a debilitating sports injury. I froze my membership, they took the direct debit anyway, refused a refund despite evidence from my physiotherapist. Then used the credit for another month of gym membership that I couldn't have used even if I wanted to! Everything is via email and communication is poor. Dreadful company.

My daughter lessons were cancelled,but the direct debit stayed the same. I have sent an email to clarify the direct debit . Antony from customer service was great , looking after my case .

"Great customer service"
I made a mistake when booking a class via the app and my booking did not confirm. I called the call centre at almost 9pm in the evening. The lady who answered was extremely helpful and cheerful. She helped me manage to book the class the same evening and the following morning, another team member followed up to check status. I had lower expectations from an app booking service but the customer service was excellent!

"If I could give minus stars I would/ psychological manipulation towards vulnerable paying customers. Completely unprovoked, just plain nasty."
If I could give minus stars I would. Psychological manipulative staff bullying and penalising customers. His name is Jay he works at the mile end branch. Incident : 17th of march 2023 5pm. A guy called Ali somewhat de escalated the matter who was acting site manager at the time although he dint call me back as he said he would and there seemed to be some confusion between staff as to who was actually in charge. To the point jay was challe going Ali infront of customers causing a scene and acting like a child. I would rather an actually meeting because the details of what happened are actually quite traumatising and I'm actually still in shock. I'm actually in receipt of therapy due to this matter and the crippling after math it has had on me. Horrifying to think he's influencing young minds or the extent of his bullying to other vulnerable members of our community. I've actually since put on a lot of weight and too scared to go back to the gym. So I wish to end my membership as well as to seek compensation for this horrendous act of harm that was brought against me. I would like a formal meeting to properly address my concerns. I should also add I have disability membership wich jay was also aware of but continued to bully me, or maybe targeted me for this reason.

The better Centres I use are fantastic great staff great fitness teacher

My complaint is about the technical team ( not an individual person) the whole system is appalling!

It seems to me all you get is please type above this line e mail your case has been resolved. I assume this is used to show how many solved case they do per day😂😂😂

I am unable to log in into my account atm no e mail to confirm Technical are dealing with it just constant e mails your case has been resolved.

Who is the CEO can’t find any useful info to complain directly to CEO


So overall staff friendly at centre
Help centre extremely unprofessional

Could do a lot better !!!!

"good centres, very cumbersome service"
the centres themselves are great and affordable but what really needs to change is that it’s impossible to get anyone on the phone about anything when you have a specific question about your local centre. especially when it comes to swimming it’s hard to know if the activity you book is the one you actually want because the description on the website and in the app are vague. and speaking of the app, it’s one of the worst designed apps i’ve ever used.
on the upside, once you’re there the staff are normally super lovely.
